Currently, over 80% of active shooter incidents occur in the workplace and the annual cost of workplace violence for employers is nearly $121 billion. Organizations being enabled
to spot the warning signs of workplace violence and how to respond effectively, is the first step in lowering those numbers.
Life Safety training is critical to any Business Continuity Management ethics and compliance program and SAI Global
is offering a full suite of learning assets on preventing, preparing and responding to violence in the workplace.

The Surviving an Active Threat simulation is an immersive, branching experience in which learners actively choose their
own path through multiple decision points.
Learners are challenged with keeping their risk level as low as possible and by putting them into the story as the main character, learners remain engaged and affected by their experience. Increased pressure is simulated by including a risk factor meter, which tells learners whether their choice is safe; and a timer mimics the fast-paced timeframe of active shooter situations. Aggregated data provides insights on engagement, comparison of pre/post confidence levels, and user response to each decision point.
